New Release: Search Guard 47

We are glad to announce that the next Search Guard release is now available.

Search Guard 47.0.0 brings these new features:

Enabling Auth Domains only for certain IPs

The Search Guard auth domain configuration now supports the attribute enabled_only_for_ips. You can use this option to restrict the auth domain to only accept authentication from the specified IPs. This can be for example useful to restrict the basic auth domain to accept only connections from your Kibana installation.

Using more than one SAML auth domain

It is now possible to use several SAML authentication domains at once with Search Guard if you are using IdP-initiated SSO (i.e., you are using the login form your your IdP and not the login form of Kibana).

You can find the full changelogs here:

This month, we have no updates for the Kibana plugin, so version 46.2.0 remains the most recent version.

You can find all versions here:

As always, we appreciate your feedback, questions, and feature requests here on the forum.

Have fun!

Many greetings from the Search Guard team
