Search Guard 25.3 and Kibana plugin 18.5 released

Hi all,

we’re happy to announce Search Guard v25.3, compatible with Elasticsearch 6.7.x and 6.8.x.

  • This release fixes
    • tenants were not handled correctly when using impersonation
    • JSON unescaping bug which caused issues when JWK KID’s contained forward slashes
    • index resolution for *,-index like patterns
    • and a few other things

We also released v18.5 of the Kibana plugin, compatible with Elasticsearch 6.5.1 - 6.8.1

  • This release fixes
    • index migrations when the internal Kibana server user is not configured to use HTTP Basic Authentication
    • tenants were not handled correctly when using impersonation
    • and a few other things
