Block or restrict Kibana spaces feature in Kibana 8

Hi,

we’ve recently upgraded our production cluster to version 8.

Unfortunately, we can’t disable Kibana spaces anymore.

This interferes with our tenant based workflow.
Is there any possibility to disable the spaces feature?

If not, I think it would be helpful if the spaces can only be configured by the administrator.
Currently, any user that is assigned to a tenant can create and modify the Kibana spaces.

Would it be possible to implement such a restriction? Or even better, block the spaces feature completely?

Hi,

Have you tried to add the following configuration to the kibana.yml file?

xpack.spaces.maxSpaces: 0

[trauta]

That looks exactly like what I was looking for, thanks!
