searchguard for elasticsearch 6.3.0

Hi ,

I cant upgrade to elasticasearch 6.3.0 with existing searchguard versions , is there any way to make it work?

Or do I need to wait for new version?

When will they release the version for elastic-search 6.3.0 ? any timelines?

From the docs:

“Replace the version number in the examples above with the exact version number that matches your Elasticsearch installation. A plugin built for Elasticsearch 6.2.3 will not run on Elasticsearch 6.2.2 and vice versa.”

So no, you need the exact version for your Elasticsearch version.

argh! I just hit this point too! I upgraded ES to 6.3 and SG still 6.2.4

hm…so .I downgrade ES to 6.2.4 or maybe wait…if few days!

It’ll help if I can know approximate release date and plan accordingly!

At the moment it looks like we will release 6.3.0 during the course of this week. This always depends on the changes in ES, and we can only start our suite of unit, integration and performance tests once the official version of ES is out.
