Has anyone set up signals while disabling search guard security? The idea is to use x-pack basic for authentication, authorization, and TLS and use search guard signals for alerting to get email alerts, slack, etc. X-pack only has outputs to logs or indexes.

It’s not possible to have signals while disabling the search guard plugin, as it’s part of the same plugin.
Further more xpack.security needs to be disabled for plugin to work.

Hello Michael, may I ask why you want to use X-Pack for security? As Signals, authentication and authorization are freely available in the Community Edition. You can run Search Guard Security with Signals + X-Pack (with security turned off) side-by-side.
