Kibana UI to create Roles and assign users a role.

When asking questions, please provide the following information:

  • ES 5.5.2 SG 5.5.2

  • no

  • jdk 1.8 windows 7 x64

  • default config files

I have installed SG with default settings. I want to know that whether SG provides UI to create roles/users and assign dashboards/visualizations to roles and setting default opening page for each role?

Further can I define menu for each role?

Search Guard 6 will ship with a Kibana Config GUI that works with the SG REST API (this is a commercial and thus paid feature).

With this config GUI you can create and edit roles directly in Kibana.

Dashboards and Visualizsations can be assigned to roles with the Multi Tenancy module (this is a commercial and thus paid feature), docs are here:

For the rest you will need to either extend the SG Kibana plugin or implement a plugin on your own.
