Is the community edition still free for commercial use?

My apologies if this has already been answered, but haven’t been able to establish beyond doubt.

Is the use of the community edition features still free within the context of a commercial product or are there separate licencing considerations?

Thank you.

Regards,

Morgan

Use of the community edition within the context of a commercial product is free (and Apache 2 licensed), see Search Guard Security | Securing your Elasticsearch cluster with Search Guard

If you start to use any of this features below you need to obtain a license:

LDAP
Kerberos / SPNEGO
JSON web token authentication
SAML
OpenID / JWKS
Custom authenticators
Document-level security
Field-level security
Audit Logging

Kibana multitenancy
Configuration GUI

Compliance related features also need a license:
Read history audit logging
Write history audit logging

If you want to make 100% sure you only run the Community Edition, you can disable all commercial features in elasticsearch.yml, see here:
