how to change default logstash or kibanaserver passwords

I have run - ./hash.sh to generate passwords and modified sg_internal_users configuration accordingly.

I have run ./sgadmin commands to use configuration.

It does not change default searchguard generated passwords. Please help.

Thanks.

When asking questions, please provide the following information:

  • Search Guard and Elasticsearch version

  • Installed and used enterprise modules, if any

  • JVM version and operating system version

  • Search Guard configuration files

  • Elasticsearch log messages on debug level

  • Other installed Elasticsearch or Kibana plugins, if any

You did not provide nearly enough information so we can help you.

As stated, please provide at least:

  • Search Guard and Elasticsearch version

  • Installed and used enterprise modules, if any

  • JVM version and operating system version

  • Search Guard configuration files

  • Elasticsearch log messages on debug level

  • Other installed Elasticsearch or Kibana plugins, if any

For any sgadmin related problems, the output of sgadmin and the Elasticsearch logs are important. Without them we are not able to help you.
