Does Searchguard work with the CSV export feature of X-Pack Reporting? I have read the documentation on configuring Searchguard to integrate with X-pack Monitoring, Alerting, and ML; but I don’t see any documentation on integration with X-pack reporting. Heres the X-Pack overview of reporting- https://www.elastic.co/products/stack/reporting
We do support it, but at the moment there is now official docs on what permissions the reporting user needs. We will update the docs soon. In the meantime, unfortunately it would be try-and-error. Means, set up a Kibana user, try to access X-Pack reporting, and see in the ES logs what permissions are missing.

Thanks. I will try setting up a Kibana user and report on the results. So would the admin user be able to access x-pack reporting, since it has admin level permissions?

Also, is there a timeframe when we can expect the documentation? Thanks!

It’s in our next Sprint, so I’d say roundabout 3 weeks from now

Hi @jkressin I had a look around your documentation and couldn’t find any information on the required permissions for this. Could you provide an update?
