Hi Search Guard Team,

is it allowed to make changes in Enterpise Modules Code when obtaining a valid Enterpise-License?

Of course, you can make code changes and then compile the plugin on your own infrastructure. The only thing is that we cannot provide (paid) support for the code changes.

Also, it would be interesting to hear what changes you are planning? Maybe they are also useful for other users?

We want to obtain backenroles via JWT-Authentication, but our externally provided token has these roles in a nested claim. We want to extend the JWT-Authentication Module to parse this nested claim.

Thanks for the input! I’ve added this (supporting nested claims) as a feature request in our backlog, I think it’s a very useful addition. However, I cannot give an ETA yet.
