Index of search-guard-tlstool/com/floragunn/search-guard-tlstool has various versions of the tool. Which of those should be used with FLX 1.6.0? (I ask because of the lack of version specific documentation for FLX. See previously Why isn’t there version specific documentation for FLX?)
@mikew Thank you for bringing the issue with the SG documentation to our attention. This will be fixed soon.
Regarding the SG offline tool version, using the latest one will be fine. The tool generates certificates and snippets of SG FLX configuration in elasticsearch.yml. This tool doesn’t connect to the SG FLX plugin as sgctl.sh does.
I used search-guard-tlstool-4.0.1.tar.gz and that generated an admin certificate which has worked with FLX 1.6.0.
