Kibana new platform plugin

Hi

Is there any information about what this offers compared with the existing plugin? I’m not clear whether it simply replaces the existing one, in anticipation of support for the old API being dropped, or if it has advantages such as loading more quickly, which seems to be the case with other plugins using the new architecture. I’ve considered using it, but I’d also prefer to use the latest version of ES and Kibana, and it’s only available for 7.9.0

All plugins under the new platform are loaded quicker. Because Kibana imposes 30 seconds limit for a plugin to setup and start.
