The next Search Guard release is now ready! Search Guard 45.0.0 brings revamped user attributes, improvements to the audit logging and a couple of bug fixes. [Multi-Valued User Attributes for DLS](https://docs.search-guard.com/latest/document-level-security#dynamic-queries-variable-substitution) The user attribute mechanism now offers greater flexibility; with multi-valued attributes it is possible to create DLS queries which for example can operate on an array of departments a user is member of. Furthermore, it is now possible to configure a mapping from attributes from external backends to Search Guard user attributes. This offers greater flexibility when working with DLS and having multiple auth backends. [Additional Audit Logging Categories](https://docs.search-guard.com/latest/audit-logging-reference) We have now introduced new audit logging categories for accesses from blocked IPs and accesses using blocked user accounts.
