# Is it possible to reduce search guard Kibana plug in installation time?

Hi All,

Is there any way to reduce the kibana search guard plug in installation time? It is taking more than 4minutes for installation. We see it taking maximum after the below log:

2017-11-10 14:39:56,316 [WebContainer : 1] INFO - Extraction complete

2017-11-10 14:39:56,405 [WebContainer : 1] INFO - Optimizing and caching browser bundles…

2017-11-10 14:43:19,977 [WebContainer : 1] INFO - Plugin installation complete

Is there a way to reduce this time?

Versions:

Kibana Search guard plug in: 5.5.1-4

Kibana: 5.5.1

Elasticsearch: 5.5.1

Elasticsearch Search guard plug in: 5.5.1-16

No, the optimization step is a “feature” of Kibana and you cannot turn it off. You would see the similar timings if you would install the X-Pack plugin for example.
