# Fess package with SearchGuard

I’m running ES 7.9.1 and SearchGuard 7.9.1-45.1.0. I’m interested in running the Fess package for creating searchable indexes of web sites, but it will need to supply credentials to Elasticsearch and it doesn’t seem to have that a a configurable option. There is an X-Pack add-on for it, but I’m not sure if that will help, and our security is coming from SearchGuard rater than X-Pack. Has anyone got this combination working or have any idea how to tackle it? Can’t find anything on the web
