# Elasticsearch 5.6.x support timeline.

Hi,
We were planning an upgrade for Elasticsearch to 5.6.
We wanted to know about search guard support for ES-5.6 and when is the supported upgrade planned?

"Please note: When a new Elasticsearch version is out, it usually takes us only a couple of days to release a matching Search Guard version.
Don't ask for new versions here, we're releasing them as fast as we can."
